The Jedi High Council is the main interface between the Jedi and the government of the Republic. The twelve High Council members are chosen from the ranks of the Jedi Masters and represent a gathering of great minds who have proven themselves and their abilities in the service of peace and justice. – Package blurb, Jedi High Council 1, Star Wars Saga Collection Screen Scene Pack

One of the exciting things about the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series was learning some of the lore of  how the Jedi Order operated in the waning years of the Old Republic. We saw some of the prominent Jedi Masters and their Padawan apprentices in action, learned about the Jedi Code, and witnessed how the Jedi High Council was outmaneuvered and eventually destroyed by Darth Sidious and his minions.

.
Hasbro's Star Wars Saga Screen Scene Pack: Jedi Council 1 features three legendary Jedi Masters (Mace Windu, Oppo Rancisis, and Even Piell) as they confer in the topmost chamber of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

The three Jedi Masters are shown in a recreation of a scene from Star Wars – Episode II: Attack of the Clones. They are seated in a semicircle, looking at a hologram of Obi-Wan Kenobi, with an angry-looking crimson-orange sunset over Coruscant as a backdrop.

Hasbro changed the look and size of the multi-figure packs – which went by several names, including Cinema Scenes, Battle Packs, and Screen Scenes – several times as the Star Wars 3.75-inch figure line expanded and evolved.

The packaging used in the 2003 Star Wars Saga collection looks a bit more compact than used in previous Kenner/Hasbro collections (Power of the Force, Episode I); the boxes are shaped differently, but the company’s formula of packing two common figures alongside a rare one was still used in Jedi Council 1.

The quality of the figures is excellent; the sculpts are pretty good for figures of the 3.75-inch scale, with good detailing and paint jobs that make them resemble the characters from Attack of the Clones. Also, the poses look very natural.

However, since the Jedi Council scenes are dialogue-heavy and light in action, the figures come only with two accessories: two Jedi Council chairs and an interlocking base that can be mated to its Jedi Council 2 counterpart to form a more complete Screen Scene.

While Hasbro recommends Star Wars Saga Screen Scene: Jedi Council 1 for children 4 and up, I'd say most buyers of this collectible would be more serious collectors over the age of 12.

Although Star Wars figures are pretty durable, (I ought to know, since I have been collecting them since 1978) they have small parts that can come loose and be easily lost. These are really meant to be displayed rather than played with.
