Zeus Carver: What? John McClane: You're a racist! You don't like me 'cause I'm white! Zeus Carver: I don't like you because you're gonna get me killed! In the spring of 1995, 20th Century Fox released director John McTiernan’s Die Hard with a Vengeance, the third film in a series featuring Bruce Willis as hard-to-kill cop hero John McClane. As in Die Hard (1988) and Die Hard 2 (1990), Willis’ character is once again “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” This time around, the reluctant hero is in New York City, where he faces off against  a mad bomber (Jeremy Irons) who has a p

'Star Wars - Episode II: Attack of the Clones' (Limited Edition Steelbook) Blu-ray review

(C) 2015 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment On November 10, 2015, 20th Century Fox re-issued its Blu-rays of all six of George Lucas’s original “Star Wars” films in all-new Limited Edition steelbook packaging. Fox’s marketing move took place less than a month after the studio’s release of its 2011 nine-Blu-ray disc (BD) set, “Star Wars: The Complete Saga” in a new Darth Vader-themed box. It also occurred six weeks before the premiere of Disney/Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The Limited Edition steelbook series, which includes “Star Wars – Episode II: Attack of the Clones,” is not unprecedented in Fox’s long history with the franchise the studio launched in 1977 when it produced Lucas’s “Star Wars” (aka “Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope.” For instance, 20th Century Fox Home Video (the forerunner to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment) released its last VHS edition of the Classic Trilogy” the same year it rolled out the DVD for “Star Wars –

(C) 2015 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment As the 2015 holiday season – and the premiere of Disney/Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” – drew near, 20th Century Fox (yet again) re-released the six original “Star Wars” films that bear the studio’s iconic logo on home video. On November 10, Fox reissued its 2011 Blu-rays of “The Phantom Menace,” “Attack of the Clones,” “Revenge of the Sith,” “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” and “Return of the Jedi” in limited edition steelbook packaging. Like most of the major Hollywood studios, including Paramount, Universal, and Warner Bros. Fox depends on revenue from home video sales and legal digital downloads. And because the “Star Wars” franchise (including the Prequel Trilogy) is one of the studio’s crown jewels, Fox re-issues the films as often as it thinks that consumers will willingly tolerate. Finally, since a new “Star Wars” film series begins on December 18, Fox is eager to jump on the marketing bandwagon yet agai

Starwars.com  Less than five weeks before the release of Disney/Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment joined the pre-premiere frenzy with its third reissue of the Classic and Prequel “Star Wars” Trilogies on Blu-ray. On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, the studio that originally released George Lucas’s space-fantasy saga set “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away” rolled out the six existing “Star Wars” films in all-new Limited Edition Steelbook packaging. As many fans know, “Star Wars” is one of the most frequently re-released movie series in the history of home video, and chances are that Fox – which owns the distribution rights to the five films financed by Lucasfilm Ltd until 2020 and owns “Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope” outright – will milk its cash bantha in the future. Most studios, after all, stay profitable through home video sales and digital downloads, so it’s not surprising that Fox is offering this Limited Edit
